What was released

This section summarizes what was released this week.

Fast lane GA features

These features are generally available for all customers. Slow lane customers and tenants will have these features automatically enabled on July 22, 2026.

  • AI Screenshot Service: AI query card screenshot rendering now routes through the standalone screenshot service.
  • AI-SRE: Documentation search tool for AI-SRE is now available for fast lane customers.
  • Connections: CDC change tracking for source datastreams.
  • Expression Builder: Exclude-null and column filter macros are now available in the FilterCondition popover.
  • Monitors: Consecutive cron-scheduled alarms for the same condition now stitch into a single ongoing alarm.
  • Monitors: Added support for muting multiple monitors at once in the mute creation flow.
  • Service Explorer: Filter the service map and inspector by correlation tags.

Slow lane GA features

These features are enabled for all slow lane customers and tenants today.

  • AI-SRE: Memory opt-in is now available. Users can enable memory from the AI Settings page.
  • Data Visualization: DAG and force-directed charts now support a fill-and-outline node style with independently configurable border colors.
  • Monitors: Scheduled monitor previews now default to the last cron run time window instead of the generic 4-hour window.
  • Show Surrounding: Generated OPAL is now more precise through improved time-range filtering, deduplication, inherited filters, and row-count windowing.

Public preview and private preview features

Private preview () features are available by invitation only. Public preview () features are available by inquiry.

  • **AI-SRE**: AI-SRE chat panel in the Trace Inspector. Ask questions directly from a trace view.
  • **Datasets**: Semantic dataset search powered by Snowflake Cortex, allowing datasets to be searched using natural language queries.
  • **Service Explorer**: Added Topic Discovery breakdown tab for message broker services.

Bug fixes

The following issues were fixed in this week's release:

  • Entity List: Fixed a crash when a search regex was too large. (OB-61556)
  • Monitor v2: Fixed group-by edits resetting when switching rule types. (OB-60513)
  • Monitor v2: Fixed digits being dropped from group-by leaf column names. (OB-61493)
  • RED Metrics: Improved rate chart value precision. (OB-61576)
  • Table: Removed the Convert menu for valid_from and valid_to columns when not applicable. (OB-61671)
  • UI: Fixed navigation rail collapsing when dragging the resize handle. (OB-61551)

Coming soon

The following GA features are already available for fast lane customers and will be enabled for slow lane customers and tenants next week.

  • Alert Explorer: Migrated to the new REST API for faster and more reliable alert searches.
  • AI: Added Claude Opus 4.8 as an agent model option, including reasoning effort support for Snowflake Anthropic models.
  • Expression Builder: Updated input picker and improved toolbar density.
  • Monitors: Full REST API support for monitor mute rules, including create, read, update, and delete operations.
  • Monitors: Anomaly monitors now support configurable evaluation frequency and computation windows.
  • Monitors: Monitor previews now display sample data when no alarms are active.
  • AI-SRE: Skill-based OPAL generation for AI-SRE query cards.
  • Service Explorer: Inspector RED metric selections (groupings and aggregations) now persist across sessions.
  • Service Explorer: Message broker services now display a dedicated icon in the dependency map and inspector.
