What's new this week
This section summarizes what was released this week.
Fast lane GA features
These features are generally available for all customers. Slow lane customers and tenants will have these features automatically enabled on September 23, 2026.
- credit-manager: Admins can now set query-credit limits per dashboard in the Credit Manager's new Dashboards tab — configure a cluster-wide default, view per-dashboard usage over time, and override limits for individual dashboards. Prevents a single expensive dashboard from exhausting cluster credits without visibility.
- trace-inspector: Error and span-link counts now appear as count badges on the Errors/Exceptions and Span Links tabs in the trace and span inspector, so the number of errors or cross-trace links is visible without opening the tab.
Slow lane GA features
These features are enabled for all slow lane customers and tenants today.
- ai-sre: AI-assisted monitor creation — including anomaly and threshold monitor creation with AI guidance and notification action editing — is now enabled for all AI SRE customers, completing its slow-lane rollout.
Public preview and private preview features
features are available by invitation only. features are available by inquiry.
- ingest-routing: OTel trace routing rules can now be created and edited in the UI — previously, trace routes were shown but all edit controls were hidden. Column-level routing is restricted to
meta.*fields to avoid breaking trace reassembly. - ingest-routing: Generic ("any") ingest routes are now visible and manageable in the routing UI — customers can see and update routes governing generic
/v1/*traffic that were previously hidden from the routing settings page.
Bug fixes
The following issues are fixed in this week's release:
- dashboard: Table context menus now work within the card edit modal — right-clicking table cells in edit mode now opens the context menu correctly. (OB-65505)
- dashboard: Default time range is preserved when editing dashboard cards — opening the card editor no longer resets the dashboard's default time range. (OB-65414)
- url-params: Filter conditions in URL parameters now apply correctly to filtered datasets in dashboards. (OB-63881)
- dashboard-reports: "Send Test" button is now correctly disabled until all required fields in dashboard report creation are filled. (OB-65253)
- dashboard-reports: Dashboard report permission tooltip no longer shows conflicting "Create report" and "no permission" states simultaneously. (OB-65265)
- monitors: Monitors now correctly report a Failed state when an error occurs before the first run completes.
- monitor-v2: Anomaly monitor preview no longer loops or flickers when the lookback period is changed.
- charts: Side legend layout is repaired when the legend receives focus. (OB-65170)
- vega: Visualization container is now correctly resized when switching to the top list view. (OB-65173)
- k8s-explorer: Kubernetes Explorer search now searches all user-visible columns (regression fix). (OB-64918)
Coming soon
The following GA features are already available for fast lane customers, and will be enabled for slow lane customers and tenants next week.
