What's new this week

This section summarizes what was released this week.

Fast lane GA features

These features are generally available for all customers. Slow lane customers and tenants will have these features automatically enabled on December 2, 2026.

  • dashboards: Dashboards now use the v2 dashboard definition, and the dashboard list searches through the REST API. The /v1/dashboards REST API is generally available, and the new GET /v1/dashboards/stats endpoint returns value counts for dashboard attributes. Teams can build, search, and manage dashboards programmatically on a stable API.
  • dashboards: PDF exports and scheduled reports keep each section's open or collapsed state. Exported dashboards now match what the viewer saw on screen.
  • explorer: The OPAL filter bar and pivot mode are generally available.
  • monitors: GET /v1/monitors and the alerts API can filter by monitor object tags, for example "team" in objectTags && objectTags["team"].exists(v, v == "sre"). Teams that organize monitors with tags can list a team's monitors and alerts without client-side filtering.
  • opal: The OPAL null keyword, equivalent to variant_null(), is now available on every cluster.
  • service-explorer: Service Explorer and the Service Inspector filter environment and namespace by correlation tag instead of by JSON path. Filtering works consistently with the correlation tags in current tracing content.
  • service-explorer: The Service Inspector remembers the group-by and aggregation you choose on its RED metric charts. Engineers no longer have to reselect them on every visit.

Slow lane GA features

These features are enabled for all slow lane customers and tenants today. Fast-lane GA was 2026-10-07.

  • ai-sre: AI-SRE investigations and monitor authoring use Claude Opus 5.5 with high reasoning effort.
  • visualization: Optimized Vega legend rendering for charts with large or complex legends.

Public preview and private preview features

features are available by invitation only. features are available by inquiry.

  • ai-sre: A monitor can start an AI-SRE investigation when it alerts, so triage begins before an engineer opens the alert.
  • ai-sre: AI-SRE is available in a side rail on dashboards, with a dashboard mode, add-context mentions, suggested follow-ups, and one chat session shared across pages.
  • apm: The trace inspector shows a trace-level service map of the services a single trace passed through.
  • opal: Dynamic pivot projection, which turns the distinct values of a column into output columns.
  • reference-tables: Reference table rows can be added, edited, and removed inline.

Bug fixes

The following issues are fixed in this week's release:

  • dashboards: A table whose saved cell format has only a number format or only a string format no longer blanks the dashboard.
  • dashboards: After a parameter is bound on an unsaved pivot card, the card stays on the pivot table. (OB-70458)
  • dashboards: The dashboard name error now lists . among the characters that are not allowed.
  • datasets: A dataset whose on-demand acceleration is suspended shows the real suspend time.
  • explorer: Pressing Enter in the filter bar accepts the highlighted suggestion instead of committing the unfinished text. (OB-70020)
  • ingest-tokens: Saving an edited ingest token shows a confirmation.
  • monitors: Monitors whose queries use now(), frame_preceding(), frame_following() or bin_size() outside a time-binning verb no longer fail setup. (OB-66314)
  • monitors: "Only my monitors" and the Created by filter work on accounts with more than 100 monitor creators.
  • tags: GET /v1/tags/values returns 400 or 504, instead of 500, when the caller cancels or the query times out.
  • visualization: A single stat whose field is missing from the results shows an error instead of loading forever.
  • worksheets: Opening a dashboard card in a worksheet now copies the parameters its dropdown source depends on, so the queries no longer fail with "no value supplied".

REST API changes

REST API surface changes for this release are published separately in the REST API Changelog, which covers version changes, breaking changes, deprecations, and migration.

Coming soon

The following GA features are already available for fast lane customers, and will be enabled for slow lane customers and tenants next week.

  • input-picker: The redesigned input picker, with unified search across datasets, resources, and scopes.
