Observasaurus: Resources¶
Resources are an Observe concept used to refer to the actors and objects in data streams. A Resource could be any thing that you might want to ask a question about. Examples of Resources are a user, a location, a server, or a CI job. Observe collects logs, metrics, and traces that describe an incredibly wide set of systems and behaviors. The Resources that are extracted from that data provide valuable pivot points that help the user navigate.
For instance in a stream of Container logs the Instances, Pods, Clusters, and Hosts are resources. The Images that containers are built from are resources, as well as the source code repositories they are built from, as well as the developers that commit changes to those repositories. Resources are why a problematic change can easily be tracked to a source event.
