How do I make a service appear in the Service Explorer?

Service Explorer discovers your OpenTelemetry-discovered services based on the OTEL service.name attribute.

New services are automatically discovered when the data is sent to Observe. The Observe Agent configures data appropriately. If you are using your own OpenTelemetry agent or customizing the Observe Agent configuration, be sure to set a service.name resource attribute.

Service data with the service.name attribute automatically appears in the Service Explorer.
