You can create a private or shared PagerDuty action in Observe. A private action is only available to the Monitor in which the action is configured, such as starting a PagerDuty workflow when the rules in the Monitor are met. You can share any private action with your team, to make the action available to other Monitors. You can also create a shared action from the Monitors list page.

Create a private PagerDuty action

When you create any type of Monitor, you can create a private PageDuty action. See the instructions for each type of Monitor:

• Create a threshold Monitor
• Create a count Monitor
• Create a promote Monitor
• Create an anomaly Monitor

Create a shared PagerDuty action

You can create a shared PagerDuty action in the following ways:

• Create an action notification in any Monitor, then click Share action with team.
• Click Monitoring in the left navigation rail to access the Monitors list, then click View shared actions, then click New shared action. See Sample action for PagerDuty in the Monitors documentation for an example of how to do this.
